Louisa is a member of both the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch) and Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. She volunteers her time providing pro bono legal services through the Western Canada Society to Access Justice for the Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter, and serving as a mentor to UBC law students. Louisa has also contributed to various legal publications as both author (“Female Musicians and Discrimination”; Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre Centrepiece, Vol.12, No.1, 2006) and editor (“Rights? Your Rights Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act”; Department of Justice Canada, 2006). She is also a former media spokesperson for the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Alberta. Louisa has successfully run two marathons and has travelled extensively throughout different parts of the world. When she is not working, Louisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog Winston, playing the violin, cooking, gardening and hiking. |
